Paul Kuijer

Dr. Paul Kuijer’s research goal is enhancing work participation in patients with musculoskeletal disorders by improving transmural patient-centred care. His special focus is on workers with end-stage knee osteoarthritis and low-back pain. Paul teaches medical students and residents in insurance and occupational medicine on the aforementioned topics, using for instance Team-Based Learning. Besides, Paul is the coordinator of the three months elective course for second year medical students entitled ‘Physician and elite sports: high demand professions! Groundbreaking multidisciplinary care in demanding jobs’, thereby working closely together with ACES – Academic Center for Evidence-based Sports medicine.
