Around the world, health care workers are facing numerous challenges and risks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic including, work-related infections, violence, stigma, psychological and emotional disturbances, burnout, illness and even death. Working long hours in stressful environments can make health care workers more prone to errors which could affect patient safety. This webinar will address how compassionate leadership and commitment to a culture of health and well-being of health care workers is essential. By positively supporting employees’ health, safety and well-being, employers can ensure that staff perform to the best of their ability. The strong relationship between levels of staff well-being and clinical outcomes is well documented. Research shows that when staff well-being is supported, employee involvement increases, motivation and performance levels increase.

During this webinar, we will share examples from several countries on how they are addressing these important issues and implementing strategies to promote the health, safety and well-being of health care workers.
